Tips To Help Your Pup With Puppy Teething Problem

When you decide to get a new puppy, you have to keep in mind that this would be the most stressful time for you because your puppy will have puppy teething problem. They are just like babies. When their teeth starts to grow, they will start to chew on anything they see, from your sofa, phone cords and shoes. This can be quite damaging and costly to you. In order to prevent this from happen, help your puppy get through this difficult time of teething period with ease .

A lot of people do not know what a small puppy can do and often come back home to see a total mess done by their new furry friend; chewing on phone cords, wires and such. To stop them from destroying everything you have got, it is best to train your dog at at early stage. Start by crate training your dog. Buy a crate that is big enough for your dog to move around. It should be a safe and happy place for your dog to live in. Furthermore, crate training will also aid potty training and create a positive and safe environment for your dog to be when you are not around. Some people do not like to lock up their dogs in the crate because they find it cruel. But they do not know that dogs are like human, they need their own time too. They will feel safe at darkened places and tend to treat it as though that’s their ‘home’.

Let’s not forget to get him a dog chew toys which he can consider as a friend when you are not around. Get him a toy that squeaks, so that they won’t feel lonely. Let them know which toy is theirs and which toys are off limits for them. If your dog chooses something that he is not supposed to chew on, take it away from them and replace it with one of his chew toys and remind them by saying, “This is your toy” and pet their head. After numerous exercise on this, he will learn what is his allowed to chew on and what he is not to chew on.

One other tip of treating puppy teething problem is to get them a rubbery toy. Spend an hour a day to train them and over a 30 days period, your pup would more or less know what they should do.
