Even if you love your pet and can’t be separated from it, there are many place to stay when you go on vacation. As increasing numbers of people enjoy traveling with pets, it is becoming more common for hotels to allow pets. These pet friendly hotels make it much easier to travel with your pet.
When you are planning a trip, you can find a wide variety of resources available on the internet to help you find pet friendly hotels for your trip. Any internet search will produce a number of websites that you can use to find a good pet-friendly hotel.
You only need to enter the location where you are looking for a hotel and your search will bring up a list of possibilities. It makes sense to call and make sure that pets are still allowed before you book a room.?
Once you find pet friendly accommodations that you are interested in staying at, be sure to investigate what types of restrictions and fees are involved. Some establishments only allow certain types of pets to stay, or have size limits so that only small pets can stay.
Many hotels will charge an extra fee or require an extra deposit to allow your pet to stay with them, so be sure to look into this in advance. Many of the websites that list hotels that allow pets will also list this information, but some do not. When you book your room be sure to inform the staff that you will have your pet with you so that they are prepared.
Once you arrive at pet friendly hotels, don’t forget to take your pet out often for bathroom breaks to minimize the need for pet insurance. Also, if you leave your pet alone in the room, make sure to keep it in it’s travel cage and leave the “Do not disturb” sign on the outside of your door. You wouldn’t want your pet to have any accidents in the hotel room; nor do you want anyone to accidentally open the door and have your pet run out and get lost.
If your pet isn’t happy alone, be considerate to the other guests and take it with you as much as possible so that it won’t make a lot of noise and disturb the other guests. Following the rules of the hotel regarding pets will help to ensure that the hotel remains pet friendly.
